Struggling science-fiction writer John Cusack battles all odds to keep his family safe during crazy calamities like earthquakes, craters, mega tsunamis etc. as the world – you know it, begins to come to an end.

This is because of a civil war in his home country which leads to the USA not recognising it as an independent country anymore and declaring him homeless. He is hence stranded at the airport indefinitely.

The movie follows his daily routine as he tries to develop a cure for this scary virus.

They then see each of their mates get killed off one by one as Death exacts revenge.
