Once a hippy-paradise with swaying palms and coco-hut, Goa is one of India’s highlights. In addition, when it comes to its coastal beaches, it does not need any introduction. Most tourists flock here in the winter months to enjoy sunny days.  Goa offers you a calm atmosphere to relax along with picturesque view, where you can spend quality time with your friends and family. The blissful beaches, fresh seafood, vibrant markets, wild nightlife bring out the wanderlust in you.

There are some beautiful and unexplored beaches in Goa away from the tourist rush and madness. However, before, you plan to visit these beaches; do not forget to carry packed lunch, as there are no beach shacks near them. 

Therefore, here are a few unexplored beaches of Goa that will give you some peace from the tourist rush.

Siridao Beach

Siridao Beach also known as Shiridon is located at a distance of 8 km from Panjim Bus Stand. It is one of the unexplored beaches in Goa known for oyster’s shell all over. You can also say it as a beach of shell collectors. Offering unspoiled scenery and much-needed privacy. This beach also gives you some picturesque views and stand amongst the best beaches in Goa.

At the entrance of the village, you can see three stone-carved statues playing musical instruments with dog. Here you will find the testimony of a huge man who once inhabited the place and known as ‘Paulist’.

The Siridao Beach is a rocky and sandy beach that lies at the mouth of the river Zuari. With clean flora and fauna, you can also find some mysterious caves.  Another unique thing about this beach is the fragments of oyster shells that wash up on the shore and making shell collectors the luckiest. The Chapel of Jesus of Nazareth is the nearest landmark. 

While taking a dive here be careful about the rocky areas as you might end up hurting yourself. Most of the time the seashore can be find absolutely empty and free from tourists. So, isn’t it a perfect escape from the crowd.

Galgibaga Beach

The nesting site for the endangered turtle, Galgibaga beach is one of the unexplored beaches in Goa. It just has a few Beach shacks selling food and drinks. Lying southwards of Talpona river estuary, this beach is the cleanest and among the best beaches in Goa. Clearwater, golden sand, along with palm and coconut trees all-around cast a charm on you. 

The best time to visit is the winter months from October to March, when the weather is pleasant and the seas are not so rough so you can enjoy the most. The most famous aspect of Galgibaga is the nesting of the Olive Ridley turtles.

The government of Goa is doing a spectacular job of protecting the turtles habitat and nesting area at this beach. If you visit this turtle beach between December and February, you might even spot turtle eggs. Galgibaga Beach is an amazing place for leisurely hanging out with your loved ones. Cola Beach

Another one of the unexplored beaches in Goa, Cola beach is a perfect escape if you wish to get away from regular tourist activity. To arrive at this beach, you need to travel southwards to Canacona on a scenic road, from here signboards will take to this amazing beach.

It’s a completely unspoilt beach that offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life and it is also much cleaner and quieter than the better known Goa beaches. The tranquility of the place will take your breath away! There is no beach huts system followed on this beach, as you’ll see only tents made in Rajasthani style. The tents have an en-suite bathroom & veranda and serve some finger-licking food.

This beach is around 10 km away from Agona beach and boasts of an exotic lagoon. All you have to do is lit a bonfire, listen to the music of waves, and get the feeling of being in the best beaches in Goa. This is one of the best beaches in Goa giving great choice for a relaxing vacation in Goa even in the peak season.
