Nearest big Railway Station is Ambala. From Ambala, one can reach Shangarh which is around 415 kms by following this route: Ambala – Kharad Bypass – Ropar – Keerat Pur Sahib – Swarghat – Bilaspur – Sunder Nagar – Mandi – Aut tunnel (take right before start of tunnel) – Sainj – Ropa – Shangarh.
Bhuntar Bus stand is 51 km from the hostel and one can reach from this bus station to the hostel using local cabs (tentative fare: 1800/- by cab).
The closest airport is the Bhuntar Airport (Kullu Manali Airport) which is 51 km away from The Hosteller Shangarh. You may hire local cabs from the airport. They charge on the basis of km driven & waiting time. - You may also opt for a prepaid taxi which would charge you around INR 3500.

POLICIES
The Hosteller is a chain of backpacker hostels and is well suited for young backpacking travellers. As a brand, we do not recommend families and do not allow all those below 18 years of age to stay with us, nor do we allow admission of kids or infants under 18 years old, even if travelling with legal guardians.
Guests with local IDs are allowed in this property.
Visitor (Non-resident guests) timings: 9 AM - 9 PM only. In case the guest wants to meet the visitor, they can do so in our waiting area or common spaces. Note, visitors are not allowed inside any of the rooms, at any time.
Drugs/Substance/Alcohol abuse is STRICTLY prohibited at all our hostels. In case anyone is found possessing or consuming drugs/alcohol during their stay, strict action shall be taken against him/her and the person would be asked to vacate the hostel immediately and would be blacklisted from staying at our hostels forever.
All our hostels have dedicated smoking areas. Smoking inside the dorms is strictly prohibited.
We cannot guarantee accommodation in the same dorm room in the case of 3 or 4 people travelling together. Allocation of a room in a specific private room category may vary depending on availability. That will strictly be subject to availability until the time of check-in.
The Hosteller's Unbox Cafe serves vegetarian options. To maintain the backpacking culture and community spirit we promote self service in all our cafes.
Outside food is strictly prohibited inside the hostel.
