Under the I&P program, the investor invests in the fixed assets required at the time of transformation of the property and LEASES (or rents) it to The Hosteller for a period of 5 years. The estimated transformation costs per property (of 20 rooms) is approximately INR 50 lakhs.
Once the property goes live post transformational activities, the investor’s return is tied to a specific % of the monthly revenue. The payouts to the investor are done on a monthly basis (post a moratorium of initial 3 months)

We do not have a cap on the returns an investor can make over the investment. As the returns are tied to monthly revenue, as the brand continues to grow, the overall revenues will increase based on demand and supply and limit less recognition of the brand in multiple territories. Also, as the investor return is tied with the property’s revenue, the investor does not even have to worry about profit or loss from the property

The Hosteller identifies the property, transforms it into an amazing backpacker hostel, operates it throughout the agreement period on high hospitality standards, does other activities such as sales, marketing, HR, customer service, etc
Yes, apart from tax saving, easy return tracking and opportunity to re-invest returns with us on another property, The Hosteller provides a privilege membership access to all investors to its network of properties, experiences and travel/lifestyle meetups. An investor can stay at any network property for a period of 15 nights on an annual basis absolutely at ZERO cost.
