Mukteshwar is a small hill town in Uttarakhand about 25 kilometres from Ramgarh. It is known for adventure sports and a breathtaking view of the Himalayan ranges. It is named after the 350-year-old Shiva Temple housed here, Mukteshwar Dham. The name of the charming town comes from the belief that Lord Shiva killed a demon here and granted him Mukti, or salvation. 5. Visit the Bhimtal Lake

The lake provides drinking water and supports aquaculture with a diverse range of fish species. Head to the lake for a beautiful sunset boat ride with your friends and family. 6. Go on jungle walks 

The pathways leading up to Tagore's house, are some of the best trekking paths through the jungle in Nainital. This is where he lived and began writing Gitanjali before leaving Ramgarh after losing his daughter. The location also gives some of the best views of the Himalayas.
