Things to do in Bhandardara

Amruteshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is known for its stunning architecture and intricate carvings. One of the highlights of the Amruteshwar Temple is the annual Shivratri festival, celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal by devotees from all over Maharashtra.
Malshej Ghat is a scenic mountain pass situated 700 meters (2,300 feet) above sea level. It is home to several species of birds, including flamingos, which migrate to the nearby Pimpalgaon Joga Dam during the monsoon season—making this a perfect destination for birdwatching.
Mount Kalsubai is the highest peak in the Western Ghats range of Maharashtra, India, with an elevation of 1,646 meters (5,400 feet) above sea level. The trek to Mount Kalsubai offers scenic views. Mount Kalsubai's summit is a small temple dedicated to Goddess Kalsubai, a significant attraction for many devotees.
Nahani waterfalls cascade down from about 100 feet, creating a pool at the base, perfect for swimming and bathing. It is a popular picnic spot, and visitors can spend a few hours relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the waterfall and its surroundings. The waterfall is stunning during the monsoon season.
Ratangad Fort was built during the reign of the Bahmani Sultanate and was later captured by the Maratha Empire. It played an essential role in the Maratha-Mughal wars and was also used as a prison during British rule. The trek to Ratangad Fort involves a moderate climb and takes about 2-3 hours to reach the top.
