How to spend a day in Mussoorie

Lal Tibba is the highest point in Mussoorie and offers stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan mountain range. It has a small telescope and is known for its scenic sunrise and sunset views. It is also an excellent spot for birdwatching, as many species of birds can be spotted in the surrounding forests.

Bhadraj Temple is dedicated to Lord Bal Bhadra, the younger brother of Lord Krishna, and at an elevation of around 2,200 meters above sea level. It is a popular destination for travellers interested in exploring the religious and cultural heritage of the region. Visitors can also enjoy trekking in the area and exploring the nearby forests and waterfalls.

Mussoorie Lake is an artificial lake 6,500 feet above sea level. It was created by a natural waterfall and modified into a lake by the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA). It is a popular picnic spot and boating destination, with visitors able to enjoy boating in boats and selling souvenirs and handicrafts.

Cloud's End is a tranquil place for nature lovers and those seeking peace and solitude; famous for its heritage bungalow built in 1838 by a British Major and is now a luxury resort. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of the Himalayan ranges, the valley below, trekking trails for adventure enthusiasts, and the forested areas home to various flora and fauna.

Sir George Everest's House, also known as the Park Estate, was once the home of a Welsh geographer and surveyor in India. It is at 6,500 feet and has been converted into a museum maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India. It has a collection of artifacts, including maps, documents, and photographs, and a telescope to give visitors a glimpse into the life and work of Sir George Everest.
